You and Me

Sitting by the bay
Watching time ticking away
I'm a lot older, it's true
Since I first met you.

Your hair is a lot greyer now
Quite a bit less, too, somehow
But as we grow older dear
It's always grand when you are near.

A life time and more
When you first stood at my door
The wee ones now have grown
A wind has started blowin'.

But we'll live out our lives, together
Like the passing of stormy weather
You and me is how we began
Together, in life, we made our stand.
